While not what you'd call particuarlly "scary" compared to other contemporary horror films, what made Andy Muschietti's It such a treat with audiences and critics was the comradery and chemistry between its central cast of young Losers. Combined with its updated 80s setting, this version of Stephen King's novel was more funhouse thrills than nightmarish chills.

This isn't to say that the film didn't have any effective horror moments, though. With Bill Skarsgard's phenomenal performance as the titular child-eating clown, there were plenty of inventive scares to be found here. But there was one scene that would have taken the horror to a whole new disturbing level.

In an interview with Variety, Skarsgard spoke of one scene that was cut from the film. And thanks to some clever sleuthing from Internet users, we now have a scripted version of the scene.

The scene would've shown a flashback of the creature in the 1600s confronting a mother and her newborn. Telling her of how he'd devour them, the script details the mother leaving the child for the monster before we hear a "sharp cry from the baby cut off as we hear a crunch".

That's a long way from New Kid On The Block jokes.
