10 Dangerous Movie Scenes You Won’t Believe Didn't Kill Anyone

8. Tarzan And The Brown Prince: Steve Sipek Almost Burns To Death

There are so many Tarzan films. It's a property that gets repeatedly revived whether there's call for it or not. No actor who has ever carried the mantle of 'King of the Jungle' has ever lived the lifestyle like Steve Sipek.

All because of a lion and a near-death experience.

During filming for the 1972 Tarzan and the Brown Prince (a really unfortunate title), a fire caused by gasoline becoming ignited scattered the crew and left star Steve Sipek trapped.

Sipek being tied up was planned, as it was part of a capture sequence, but the fire was an unexpected addition. He would receive burns over 90% of his body and would have probably died if it hadn't been for a lion.

The life-saving lion had been trained for the scene and was supposed to free Sipek from his confinement. Unfazed by the fire, the lion carried on with its role as it had been trained (lions are real pros) and freed Sipek.

This made a lasting impression of Sipek who would go on to house and care for large cats.
