10 Dangerous Movie Scenes You Won’t Believe Didn't Kill Anyone

7. Armour Of God: Jackie Chan Cracks His Head

If there's one actor who really epitomises the term 'suffering for his craft' it would be Jackie Chan. Sure he may never win an Oscar (although he did win an honorary one for all the mental stuff he's done for film) but he makes enjoyable movies and puts every ounce of effort and energy into his work.

It's really hard to pick one particular moment to highlight – in truth this entire list could just be Jackie Chan – it's Armour of God that highlights the level of danger the martial arts expert puts himself through.

There is a particular moment where Chan needs to jump off a building onto a tree branch. He did this once with no problem. But because he's Jackie Chan, a notorious perfectionist, he wanted to film the scene again.

It's this second take that proves harrowing.

This time when making the jump the branch he was supposed to catch broke. Chan fell five metres down smashing his head against a rock. He now has a metal plate in his head from the injury, but despite the fact that he nearly died he refused to slow down.

Seriously buy some Jackie Chan DVDs - he really deserves the money for how much damage he's put himself through for entertainment.
