10 DC Characters Who NEED Their Own Movie

With Robert Pattinson set to reboot Batman again with Matt Reeves, perhaps DC would do well to look elsewhere in Gotham for some more stability.

Reeves may well look at casting a Robin alongside Pattinson’s Batman (Pattman?), which would probably nix the chances of Nightwing making an appearance. However, if they downplay the Batman connection, there’s a chance they could use Nightwing as a solo star.

The vigilante angle of Batman hasn’t really been given much focus since Christian Bale, and even then there wasn’t much of it to be had in The Dark Knight Rises.

Batman’s a rich character with lots of ways for the script and director to take him, but it’s a shame his roots have been neglected on screen throughout the DCEU so far.

Their TV shows (Green Arrow in particular) have had a much more vigilante aesthetic, but on the silver screen there’s not much you can point to. Nightwing could rectify that and give us a return to the dark, broody Batman without the pressure of expectations that Bruce Wayne has.

With his acrobatic style, dual staffs and array of gadgetry, he’d certainly bring some killer fight scenes.
