10 DC Comics Characters Dwayne Johnson Could Be Playing

5. Cyborg/Vic Stone

Another character that has enjoyed a recent surge in popularity as of late, due to a place of prominence within DC's New 52 series, is Cyborg. Saved from certain death by T-800-style grafted robotics, young Vic Stone uses his newfound powers for good (you wouldn't?) and finds himself the youngest member of a little team called the Justice League. Again, one can assume that Dwayne Johnson would lean towards a heroic role over a villainous one, based on his track record, and one can also assume that DC would want to cast Johnson in a role that could carry over more than just a single film. Admittedly, Vic Stone is just a football-playing teenager when he gains his metal appendages. But the casting of Ben Affleck as Batman shows that this might not matter, and that we may be dealing with an already-established set of heroes. Cyborg isn't the most well-known member of the DCU, but an older twist on the character could be a really interesting addition to the fledgeling film universe. The Rock would have a fair amount of free reign to make the character his own, to create new traits and really get attached to this new version in the way Robert Downey Jr. created a new Tony Stark. Chances Dwayne Johnson will play Cyborg: Slim, unless a new version of the character is created for the film universe.
