10 DC Comics Villains Who NEED To Face Robert Pattinson's Batman (And Who Should Play Them)

5. John Carroll Lynch As Calendar Man

In the recent Suicide Squad movie, we get a brief glimpse of Calendar Man, played by Sean Gunn who also played Weasel. It's a blink and you'll miss it cameo; nothing more than a bit of fan service.

But Calendar Man could make an exceptional villain in this brutal, gritty world that Matt Reeves is clearly trying to construct. Julian Day is a psychotic man who bases his crimes around holidays and notable dates in the calendar. A genius inventor and master criminal, having Day play a role similar to The Mad Hatter, whereby he can be a side villain, would be a smart choice.

Who to play him? John Carroll Lynch. One of those actors who, when you look at his filmography, has been in a so many movies but never really in the main role. Lynch could bring great physicality to the role due to his size, but his age and quality acting could really set Calendar Man apart as more of a cerebral enemy to Batman in the same vein as The Riddler.

And if you're wondering if Lynch has the chops to play a psychotic criminal, just watch his chilling turn in Zodiac, where he plays the key suspect, to see just how easily he can ratchet up the tension.
