10 DC Heroes Who Deserve Movie Deals (And Who Should Play Them)
3. Nightwing - Adam Driver
Of course, Dick Grayson has been on the big screen before. Chris ODonnell played the character, as Robin, in Batman Forever and Batman & Robin. But the young orphan has never taken the step up from sidekick to superhero in a feature film. He's never broken out on his own and become the vigilante Nightwing. This is what comes of Dick in the comics. He moves away from Gotham, to a city called Bludhaven, and starts beating up criminals without the help of Batman. If they follow this path, Warner Bros could have a very profitable Batman spin-off franchise on their hands. Some fan theorists think that they've already cast that character, and reckon that Scott Eastwoods soldier character in the upcoming Suicide Squad movie will turn out to be an undercover Nightwing. I hope that's not true, for one big reason: Adam Driver would be perfect for the role. Eastwood has the jawline, but Driver has his unique form of edgy charisma. He could play Dick Grayson as a dark, unhinged character who struggles to keep his city in check. Warner Bros would have to wait until his Star Wars commitments are over, though, which could take a while.
