4. Booster Gold - Armie Hammer
Booster Gold is a superhero from the future with a great character arc. Initially, he time-travels to the present day just to showboat and make money. He stages heroic events, and uses his future tech and knowledge to easily win the day and take all the glory. It takes a long while, and plentiful personal tragedy, to turn him into a true hero. Hes an arrogant guy, obsessed with success and wealth, whos always showing off and cracking wise. He regularly teams up with the aforementioned Blue Beetle, with the pair of heroes essentially functioning as something of a comedy double act for the comic book world. For the movie version, youd need someone with a blend of heroic handsomeness and comedic prowess. Theyd need to be able to save the day but be irritatingly self-obsessed as they do it. Perhaps, this could be the truly star-making role that Armie Hammer has been waiting for. In The Lone Ranger he played a masked hero, in The Social Network he played a pair of arrogant a-holes, and in The Man From U.N.C.L.E. he practised his ability to dispense one-liners while fighting people. If he can successfully put all three of those performances together, Armie Hammer could be a perfect Booster Gold for the DCEU.
