10 DC Villains Who Need Their Own Standalone Film
7. Deathstroke
Although Red Hood would be a fantastic film for Chad Stahelski to make for DC, just imagine how great it would be if he were also to helm a Deathstroke film. Slade Wilson made a heartbreakingly brief appearance in the DCEU played by Joe Manganiello, and while we were denied the opportunity to see him face Ben Affleck's Batman, a solo run for Slade would be an unmissable action experience.
Deathstroke's influence stretches out across the DC Universe, and he has faced off against so many of the most powerful heroes on earth, meaning there's so much choice for what he could do in his standalone film. Perhaps he could face off against another assassin like Deadshot, or maybe he may feature in a more grounded story involving his children, Rose and Jericho, though that is already currently happening in DC's second season of Titans.
A Deathstroke standalone film does seem like a pipe dream right now, as his run on Titans seems far from over. However, few can deny the cinematic potential of DC's most dangerous assassin.
