10 DC Villains Who Need Their Own Standalone Film

6. Bane

Freeze Movie
DC Comics

To the eyes of the uninformed, Bane is simply just another big bad man for Batman to beat, however, the man that broke the bat actually has one of the most fascinating origins and personas of The Dark Knight's rogues gallery.

What most portrayals of Bane have lacked is actually his supreme intelligence. Even Christopher Nolan's portrayal had him be a mere sidekick to Talia Al Ghul, and the King of Peña Duro deserves so much more. Many remember Bane for physically breaking Batman's back but they may not realise that he had also beaten him mentally in a fantastic battle of psychological warfare, even discovering his secret identity in a mere 3 months.

While Tom Hardy came so close to a great portrayal of Bane, a standalone film showing him taking control of the criminal underworld through his immense brains and brawn would finally do the character justice.
