10 DCEU Theories Better Than What's In The Movies
8. Robin Became The DCEU's Clown Prince Of Crime
One of the most surprising moments in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice came when we saw that Robin's costume was in the Batcave. If you're familiar with the comics, you'll know that the Clown Prince of Crime murdered Jason Todd in cold blood and, as a tribute, Bruce Wayne kept his suit as a reminder of one of his greatest failings as a hero.
This led to a number of theories doing the rounds, but one made more sense than others. As the movie was set in a world inspired by The Dark Knight Returns, fans argued that Zack Snyder was going to follow Frank Miller's blueprint by bringing Dick Grayson back as a new version of The Joker. Oh, and that Joker was the going to be the one played by Jared Leto!
The theory suggested that Batman murdered the original Joker for what he did to his sidekick, but Robin (who had been mentally broken by the villain) had taken his place, hence why he had a tattoo of a robin, and "Damaged" written across his forehead.
There were a lot of lines scattered throughout Batman v Superman which seemed to support this, and it was a solid explanation for The Joker's new look. The fact Snyder later confirmed that the suit in the Batcave belonged to Dick does make us wonder too...
