10 DCEU Theories Better Than What's In The Movies
7. A "Crisis" Event Would Combine The Film And TV DC Universes
This may have been wishful thinking, but boy would it have been fun to see! Given the "#EverythingIsConnected" nature of the MCU, fans couldn't understand why Grant Gustin's version of the Flash wasn't in the DCEU, and even Arrow star Stephen Amell shared his disappointment that the small screen DC Universe was being overlooked by Warner Bros.
According to this particular fan theory, the eventual plan was for a Crisis on Infinite Earths movie to be released which would have united the two worlds so that the studio could integrate characters from the films into the TV shows and vice versa.
It was a nice thought, but also one which would have required the studio to actually have a plan in place for this shared world! Ultimately, the decision was made that these worlds would remain totally separate, and the TV shows still aren't allowed to use certain characters (Batman, for example) depending on what's going on with them in theaters.
In a way, this theory came true with the Crisis TV crossover and that did at least confirm that Gustin's Flash exists in the same Multiverse as the one Ezra Miller's version calls home.
