10 Deadliest Planets In Star Wars

6. Hoth

This frigid world was so cold and remote that it served as the perfect hiding spot for the Rebel Alliance, albeit not a safe one.

With glacier lakes, snow-capped mountains, frosted fields and ice caves, this Winter Wonderland was also one of the inhospitable planets in the Galaxy.

Even before the Empire arrived with their AT-AT Walkers and Snowtroopers, Hoth's sub-zero climate proved difficult to survive in. With temperatures so cold you'd need to hide inside your Tauntaun for heat, only specialist clothing and acclimatised inhabitants could brace the snowstorms for short periods.

The predatory Wampas were native to Hoth, preying on loose Tauntauns and intelligent life that had strayed too far from cover. Feasting on the meat of captured prey, these creatures could be found in the ice caves or tunnels when they weren't hunting.

Due to Hoth's intermittent snowstorms, many crafts would struggle to take off in the low visibility, and even the Rebel Echo Base wasn't a safe space. With Wampas contained within the walls and under the base, a mistaken turn or going through the wrong door could prove to be catastrophic.
