10 Deleted Horror Movie Scenes You Need To See

9. Drowning - A Cure For Wellness

A Cure For Wellness
20th Century Fox

Whilst Gore Verbinski's A Cure For Wellness might not have lived up to its potential as the plot unravelled, it did have some remarkable visuals to take us on the bizarre journey with. When an executive is sent to retrieve his boss from a wellness centre, he ends up admitted to the mountainside retreat himself, succumbing to a range of horrible treatments that definitely aren't making him as well as they advertise.

One small excluded sequence is another of these treatments implemented at the wellness centre that sees Dan DeHaan forcibly drowned in order to take in 'oxygenated water', causing him to suffer through a series of hallucinations that are some of the weirdest yet. Included is a spot of underwater ballet, a ritualistic deer head having a lovely bath, some classic tooth pulling, and plenty of misplaced eels where there really shouldn't be any.

Verbinski cut the sequence to make the protagonist's epiphany come a little sooner, rather than condensing it all into this creepy segment.
