10 Deleted Horror Movie Scenes You Need To See

7. Jog To A Hanging Dog - Halloween (2018)

A Cure For Wellness
Universal Pictures

Halloween 2018 is the movie that's made Michael Myers hot property once more, rewriting the decades of bad Halloween movies to bring us a hot fresh sequel to the original film only. It's good campy fun and knows exactly what it is, delivering an intense hour and a half of slasher action that modern cinema doesn't really get treated to in the same way any more.

And of course, during its construction, the legend of Michael was toyed with to extreme effect. During one scene that didn't make it to the final cut, Allyson is demonstrating her propensity for running - which will definitely come in useful with a psychopath on the loose - before she stumbles across a crime scene being taken down by the locals. In it, there's no human victim, but a strung up dead dog, harking back to the original films where Michael is claimed to both kill and eat canine pals. Sorry.

It was trimmed for pacing reasons rather than the outright guilt and shame they should've felt for subjecting such a good boy to such a grim fate, but there you have it.
