10 Deleted Horror Movie Scenes You Need To See

2. The Nutcracker - Us

A Cure For Wellness
Blumhouse

Jordan Peele's movies are works of art as much as they are horrific deep dives into the human psyche, and Us was just another example of how well the man paints a vivid picture of society at its worst. Depicting a family that are confronted and hunted down by their own doppelgängers, the movie culminates in protagonist Adelaide and her double Red performing a ballet dance together in a flashback, where Red is tethered underground, and Adelaide is on stage.

In this deleted scene, Peele seeds foreshadowing that's super exciting to see knowing the full context of the movie. Adelaide - really Red in disguise - speaks to Kitty about transforming her dance from a duet into a solo performance and the crowd going wild. As we learn later, the dance was actually one that she shared across this tethered connection, and the moment that Red took enough control of herself and the other clones to be able to break out of her underground prison.

It's a small, arbitrary conversation, but one that gets given an enormous amount of weight by the movie's surrounding context.
