The story of a Vietnam soldier returning home with PTSD is one that has been brought to the screen before, but none have come close to depicting the mind-altering madness that Jacob's Ladder puts out into the world. Struggling to maintain his sanity and desperate for help that he can't connect with, strange hallucinations plague Jacob's every waking moment - and as the audience, we're subjected to all the worst parts.

Or at least, so you'd think. In this near 10-minute clip cut from the final movie, it's proven that there's plenty more weirdness we missed out on the first time around, and considering how often older footage was disposed of it's a miracle that it survived long enough to be circulated around the internet.

In the scene, Jacob is visited by a man who claims he can help with his mental state - 'getting rid of the demons' - through chemical intervention. Of course, we're treated to plenty of weird, bloody happenings instead.
