10 Deleted Scenes That Would Have Improved Movies

3. Return Of The Jedi: Yoda's Wisdom

Originally in this film, the way the Vader twists from Empire was going to be addressed was through Yoda. Along with confirming the Vader is, in fact, Luke's father like he does in the actual film, this deleted scene would have had Yoda admit that it was he who forbode Obi-Wan from telling Luke. Yoda thought it best to keep it from him, out of fear that it would distract Luke and lead him to the dark side.

This is infinitely better than the alternative, which just kind of has Old Ben faffing about and saying what he said was the truth, 'from a certain point of view'. It is implied that Obi-Wan had similar intentions here, but having Yoda be the root of the lie feels much more in-character for him and shows that even after all these years, Obi-Wan is still a pupil in Yoda's eyes.

The inclusion of this scene would have improved not just Return of the Jedi, but this entire story arc. Heck, it even ties in with the mistakes of the Jedi Order from the prequels and the addressing of those mistakes from The Last Jedi. All around, this scene is sorely missed.
