10 Most Desirable Girlfriends In Comic Book Movies

6. Karen Jenson (N'Bushe Wright) €“ Blade

Considering what a huge impact the first Blade film had on the comic book movie (essentially reviving it after Batman & Robin killed it with camp), it€™s kind of amazing how much the movie has been swept under the rug. Even within the world of the Blade films, we never get another mention of N€™Bushe Wright€™s Karen Jenson, a hematologist who gets dragged into this seedy underworld of monsters after she€™s bitten by a vampire and rescued by Blade. A stereotypical damsel character would have probably freaked out in this situation, or been reduced to arm-candy there only for expository purposes and so the villain has someone to threaten. Instead, Karen accepts that vampires exist and devotes herself to finding out a way to fix her situation, while also having the guts to walk right into the vampire€™s den alongside Blade with only a fraction of his arsenal and not a single bit of his training or powers. Karen serves a role almost equal to Whistler, perhaps a bit more. She€™s the one who devises a way to not only help Blade deal with the growing threat of his vampire site, but also devises a method that proves to be the undoing of Deacon Frost. The first film seemed to set up Karen to take over Whistler€™s old role, but unfortunately we never got a single mention of her in the sequels.
