10 Devastatingly Dark MCU Theories

1. Wanda Has Already Rid The World Of Mutants

With the story of Wanda Maximoff’s breakdown, of her having to watch Vision die before taking an entire town hostage and losing her grip on reality, fans have been anticipating a full-on House of M adaptation for some years now.

One of the key moments of the arc from the comics is when Wanda utters the famous phrase ‘no more mutants’, and rids the Marvel Universe of any such being. Since there aren’t mutants already in the MCU, many fans have speculated that the reverse would happen, and that Wanda would wish the mutants into existence, but what if there was an even more disturbing explanation?

Right now, it’s hard to say exactly what role Wanda will play in the Multiverse of Madness, or what her life in the MCU will look like after it, but could it be possible that from Iron Man right up to the present day, we have been watching a Marvel Cinematic Universe already altered by Wanda in the future?

Say the MCU did originally house countless mutants, could the Scarlet Witch have already wished them out of existence in the future, resulting in the mutant-less universe we all know and love? Time travel has been more prevalent than ever in the franchise in recent times, and there is no reason to think that there isn’t room for a little more of it in the coming years.
