6. The Court Of Owls
A storyline that is every bit as good as Hush is bad, and one that a new Batman film could adapt without too much trouble. Just as Christopher Nolan took disparate elements from various storylines in crafting his trilogy, so a potential Batfleck series could employ elements from Scott Snyder's phenomenally creative run in giving the Dark Knight a franchise to remember. A vast conspiracy which predates Batman by years, The Court Of Owls introduces Gotham as a character in itself, before testing the Bat with some of the more nebulous enemies he's ever faced. A little rejigging would make it the perfect movie for our fledgling DC Universe and not-so fledgling Batman. Come to think of it, one could do far worse than moulding a trilogy on Snyder's example (Scott, not Zach) - start with Zero Year, then Court Of Owls, before finishing with Death Of The Family and Endgame, if you really must do a Joker story.
