2. The Russo Brothers

The Russo Brothers have been named as the favourites to direct Avengers: Infinity War, and after the success of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, that's hardly a surprise. However, with Captain America: Civil War shaping up to be as much an Avengers movie as it is a Captain America sequel, Marvel are likely waiting to see how they handle it. After all, helming a massive two-part movie which will probably feature every single character from the Marvel Cinematic Universe is a lot different to one focusing on just a single hero and a few of his allies. They've shown that they can handle a large cast, but should Civil War succeed, expect to see them officially announced shortly after. When it was revealed that the brothers responsible for You, Me And Dupree would be directing the Captain America sequel, fans panicked. But now the Russos have proven themselves once and will likely do so again with Civil War, so handing them the reigns to The Avengers would be a smart move on Marvel's part.
