10 Directors Who Could Take Over Avengers: Infinity War From Joss Whedon

1. Alfonso Cuarón

He directed the best Harry Potter movie and followed that a few years later with the brilliant Children of Men. However, Alfonso Cuarón's crowning achievement is undoubtedly Gravity. A technical masterpiece and visually one of the most stunning movies ever made, it's going to be fascinating to see what the filmmaker decides to do next. Why not a big budget superhero movie like Avengers: Infinity War? Had he not already delved into the world of Harry Potter, it could be argued that a creative director like Cuarón might turn down a studio like Marvel, but the right deal and appropriate amount of creative input would surely see him say yes to the epic two-part feature. It seems like a safe bet that some (if not all) of Avengers: Infinity War will take place in outer space, making Cuarón an even more ideal candidate because of the kind of unique visuals that he would obviously bring to the table. Also, can you imagine one of his famous lengthy tracking shots featuring The Avengers in battle with Thanos? Truly epic. Who should direct Avengers: Infinity War? Should Marvel try and get Whedon to reconsider? Share your thoughts on the news down in the comments.
