We’re to the end and that means we can finally talk about Martin Scorsese. So, we all know who is he. He’s that guy who directed the longest movie in the history of Netflix, The Irishman. Oh, and he also directed Cape Fear, and Taxi Driver, and Goodfellas, and blah, blah, blah. The list goes on.

Let’s just get to what you came here for: What crazy movie does Martin Scorsese like? Well, it’s The Exorcist… II: The Heretic. If you’ve never seen this movie, well, it’s not quite as good as its predecessor, The Exorcist. It features a complicated plot where a Cardinal travels to Africa to fight a demon in the form of a locust swarm, and there’s a whole subplot about telepathy being a spiritual gift. Needless to say, it wasn’t received well by critics.

But Scorsese loves it. In 1998, he told the magazine Film Comment, “I like the first ‘Exorcist,’ because of the Catholic guilt I have, and because it scared the hell out of me; but The Heretic surpasses it. Maybe [ the director ] failed to execute the material, but the movie still deserved better than it got.”

ook, if Martin Scorsese thinks this was a good movie, who are we to argue?
