10 Directors Who Suffered The Most In 2015

10. Alan Taylor (Terminator Genisys)

Somewhat of a journeyman director on television, Alan Taylor worked behind the camera of many acclaimed series including Game Of Thrones, The Sopranos, and Mad Men. So when Marvel hired him to direct Thor: The Dark World, people thought he might be ready to step up. The Dark World was arguably the weakest instalment of the entire MCU, but it€™s hard to hold the director responsible when it€™s clear how much control Marvel holds over their films. Flash forward to 2015, Terminator Genisys is to be released and now it€™s Taylor€™s real shot to prove he should be sticking around doing features. Except Genisys released to an even more tepid response than The Dark World. If audiences were willing to give him the doubt before, this year seemed to have confirmed that if people are looking for an uninspired blockbuster with generic action, Taylor is the man for the job. Perhaps he€™s fine with that role, but it€™s hard to envision a bright future after disappointing so many with the latest Terminator sequel. Just ask Jonathan Mostow and McG how well that worked out for them.
