10 Disgraceful Actor Egos That Ruined Movies

9. Bruce Willis - Cop Out

Bruce Willis was a childhood hero of Kevin Smith so you can imagine how stoked the Clerks director was to be collaborating with him on his big flop of a buddy cop movie Cop Out. Unfortunately for Smith, the words ‘you should never meet your heroes’ have never rung truer.

Alongside being generally unpleasant, Willis reportedly refused to listen to Smith’s direction, intentionally flubbed his lines and on one occasion remarked to Smith, "I'm Bruce Willis! I've been Bruce Willis successfully for 25 years! How long have you been Silent Bob, motherf*cker?". He later refused to participate in a promotional photo shoot and failed to turn up to the movie’s wrap party.

Clearly wounded, Smith later described the experience of working with Willis as “soul-crushing” and called the actor “the unhappiest, most bitter, and meanest emo-b*tch I’ve ever met at any job I’ve held down”.
