10 Disgraceful Actor Egos That Ruined Movies

For a film reuniting the talents of director Neill Blomkamp and actor Sharlto Copley, 2015 South African sci-fi Chappie should’ve been a lot better. Unfortunately, it was a far cry from their previous collaborations District 9 and Elysium and it seems there was one major problem in particular – Watkin Tudor Jones aka Ninja, one half of musical duo Die Antwoord.

Playing a metafictional version of himself clearly went to Ninja’s head because his behaviour during filming was far from exemplary. If anonymous on-set sources are to be believed, he not only departed from Blomkamp’s script but also started getting increasingly violent as filming went on and sent a female crew member a picture of himself on the receiving end of a blow job.

Even his co-star Hugh Jackman, the nicest guy in Hollywood, couldn’t stand Ninja and Blomkamp supposedly stated, “I don’t ever want to be in the same room as him again”.
