Appeared in: Peter Pan (1953) He might be far from the most cunning or sinister antagonist on this list but you really have to root for poor old Captain Hook. Unlike most black-and-white Disney villains, it has to be said his vendetta against his enemy Peter Pan is completely justified - you really can't expect him to act any other way after the boy chopped off his hand and fed it to a crocodile. Clearly any child demented enough to do something like that (not to mention his further crimes of kidnapping other children in their beds) needs to be stopped at any cost. So while Peter looks like the good guy with his happy thoughts and fairies, Hook is actually the much more sympathetic character. If any other Disney villain deserves the Maleficent treatment it's him.
