10 Doomed Movie Characters Saved By Reshoots

1. Freddie Harris - Halloween: Resurrection

Thor The Dark World Loki
Universal

Halloween: Resurrection is such a thoroughly despised sequel among the fanbase that it's difficult to believe that test audiences could've had much positive to say about it at all.

But apparently they were rather fond of the wise-cracking, kung fu-loving director character Freddie Harris, as infamously played by Busta "Trick or treat, motherf**ker!" Rhymes.

Originally Freddie actually died in the film's climax, being brutally strangled to death by Michael Myers (Brad Loree) as he and Sara (Bianca Kajlich) attempted to escape.

But test audiences took quite the shine to Freddie, enough that the filmmakers decided to not only grant him a stay of execution, but also beef up his presence in the finale so that he was the one to ultimately defeat Michael.

This led to easily the most-loathed climax of the series, where Freddie electrocutes Michael in the dick and leaves him for dead. While reshoots often saved characters who absolutely deserved to live, sometimes dead is better too.
