10 Dream MCU Projects Disney Will (Probably) Never Make

3. Spider-Man's Link To The Fantastic Four

Before the news broke that Marvel and Sony were to split ties over efforts to renew their partnership regarding Spider-Man, Tom Holland claimed that he'd love to play the character for at least another two decades. It's a dream gig, and while he can still do that over at Sony, the friendly neighbourhood web-slinger will be forced to grow up away from the pomp and bombast of the MCU.

Again, there are still some positives that could come from the two studios parting ways, but there's also a ton of incredible comics now unavailable for Marvel to adapt. There's the aforementioned Dark Reign, but the biggest casualty of all involves the relationship between Spidey and the Fantastic Four, and his close friendship with one member in particular - Johnny Storm, the Human Torch.

Peter no longer being in the MCU means that we won't get to see them as roommates (a huge loss), or even any inkling of the Future Foundation, where Spidey signed up to the Four as an official member.

No doubt the team will be able to rotate their membership with the likes of She-Hulk and others, but no Spidey is still pretty bad.
