10 Dumbest Decisions Ever Made By MCU Heroes

8. Peter Parker Gave EDITH To Quentin Beck

In a world that could no longer boast Tony Stark to protect it, everyone was asking who would step up to take Iron Man’s place. Clearly Stark himself had ideas, as he bestowed upon Peter Parker EDITH, essentially his entire life in a pair of glasses. Peter however, couldn’t understand why he was chosen.

He wasn’t ready to step into the shoes of his father figure, he wanted to enjoy being a kid just a little bit longer, and so he almost instinctively looked for another father figure. He found this in Quentin Beck. In spite of knowing Beck for a matter of days, he fell hook, line, and sinker for his deception, and gave him the EDITH protocol without hesitation.

Talk about a poor judgement of character, the man who played the Mysterio character manipulated the young Avenger and used his new toy to wreak havoc on London.

It couldn’t have been clearer. Tony was passing the torch to Peter. The latter’s belief that Tony passed EDITH to him so he could choose the next Iron Man was ridiculous, and it ended not only in the attack on London, but also the reveal of his identity and consequently the explosive events of No Way Home.
