10 Dumbest Decisions Ever Made By MCU Heroes
4. Tony Stark Created Ultron
There is no doubt that the intentions behind this one were good. After Loki, the Mandarin, and the collapse of SHIELD, Tony Stark wanted to protect the world as best as he could. As a tech genius, he felt the answer lay with technology rather than a human/Asgardian element.
The idea was to put a suit of armour around the world, and while Bruce made a good point that it sounded cold, it at least also sounded safe. His Iron Legion seemed to function like a well oiled machine, but Ultron was a different story completely.
His would-be AI protocol developed a conscience of its own, and threw the entire world into disarray. Not only did Ultron stretch the Avengers like never before, he killed on of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, and in sending an entire country into the sky with the intention of using it as a meteor of sorts, almost caused a global extinction.
In another world, Tony’s misguided contraption succeeded in destroying the world, and very nearly conquered the entire multiverse with his vibranium body and the Infinity Stones he took from Thanos’ corpse. Even with those good intentions, Tony Stark almost destroyed everything ever with Ultron.
