10 Dumbest Decisions In Action Movie History

1. Punching A Mad Titan - Avengers: Infinity War

There was one great opportunity to stop Thanos' infamous snap - and that was on Titan when he took on a team of Avengers, Guardians, and Dr. Strange.

Using physical, magic, psychic and energy attacks, our heroes are able to calm and restrain Thanos, getting tantalizingly close to removing the Gauntlet from his hand. Star-Lord, ever ready with a snarky remark, insults Thanos before demanding to know where his beloved Gamora is.

Thanos' emotional shock at the mention of her name revealed that Gamora was dead, in turn causing Star-Lord to completely deviate from the plan and violently attack the Mad Titan. This was enough of a distraction for the team to lose their control over Thanos, who quickly freed himself before pummelling the heroes and leaving the planet.

Given the stakes, had Peter just been able to hold his temper, regardless of how torn up he was, the story may have turned out very differently, with Thanos never finding all the Infinity Stones and fulfilling his threat to kill half of all life in the universe. Instead, the events of Infinity War and Endgame play out, leaving some permanent scars on not only our heroes, but on Earth itself.
