10 Dumbest Decisions In Spider-Man Movies

5. Peter Didn't Really Question His New Costume

One of the most significant events in the Marvel Universe, where Spider-Man is concerned, was his acquisition of a brand new suit while on an alien planet. He found the suit when he needed one, and it not only fit perfectly, but also gave him unlimited webbing, the power to shapeshift his clothes, and looked really cool.

So, Spidey got a new suit, but he didn't really question where it came from, and when the story was adapted for Spider-Man 3, it was pretty much the same. He woke up wearing it while hanging off the side of a building, and he absolutely loved his new look.

He did take a piece of the suit to Dr. Curt Connors for analysis, but he ended up loving the way the suit made him feel so much, he couldn't care less about where it came from or why it did the things it could do.

That was clearly a mistake, and as every Spider-Man fan knows, that suit was the symbiote that became Venom. Had he maintained just a shred of caution regarding the symbiote, he wouldn't have gotten himself in a dangerous and vulnerable state, which led to the creation of Venom.
