10 Dumbest Decisions In The Fast And Furious Saga

5. Jumping The Buildings

One of the Fast franchise's biggest stunts is also one of the dumbest decisions any of its characters have ever made: jumping a car between Abu Dhabi's Etihad Towers, in 2015's Furious 7 (yep, they are still doing the title thing).

To escape the film's ex-MI6 antagonist Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham), with the flash drive MacGuffin that's hidden in a billionaire's Lykan Hypersport in one of Etihad Towers' loftier suites, Dom decides he must jump the car across the gulf between the surrounding buildings - with Brian along for the ride.

The success of this idea hinges on the car: not turning in the air, being able to penetrate the building(s) opposite, landing on an actual floor rather than in the space between them, and being propelled enough to carry it all the way from building to building rather than plummeting to the ground. But, with what can only be described as a 0.001% chance of survival, Dom and Brian somehow walk away from this moment of pure genius unscathed.

And, what's more, this happens not once, but twice. The second time he didn't have brakes though, so presumably that doesn't count?
