6. Ofelia Eats The Forbidden Fruit - Pan's Labyrinth
Now, it's fair to cut Pan's Labyrinth's protagonist Ofelia (Ivana Baquero) a little slack, given that she's a 10-year-old girl and all. But even so, she displayed a staggering lack of smarts while attempting to retrieve a dagger from the lair of the monstrous Pale Man (Doug Jones).
Ofelia is categorically warned by the Faun (also Doug Jones) that the Pale Man will only remain asleep if she doesn't touch or eat any of the gorgeous feast laid out in his lair, and predictably when Ofelia sets eyes upon the lovely spread, she can't help but eat two of the grapes.
This in turn rouses the Pale Man from his slumber, at which point he decapitates two of Ofelia's fairy companions and gives chase, from which she barely escapes.
Even accepting that Ofelia was intensely hungry at this point in the story, having not eaten for some time, her actions got two fairies killed and nearly cost her own life too.
