To be fair, as the BFF of the horror heroine Tatum was kind of doomed to die from the very start and even the subversive Scream didn’t see fit to flip that particular trope on its head. Nevertheless, how Tatum gets herself killed is pretty stupid even for somebody destined to snuff it by way of trope.

Realistically, that pet door she tries to escape through looks like it would be hard-pushed to fit your average spaniel or overweight cat through never mind a fully-grown human. Not to mention the fact that she’s in a !*$% garage presumably full of tools she could weaponise against Ghostface.

She even gets the better of Ghostface a couple of times when he falls flat on his derriere but does Tatum take advantage of this or grab any of the potential weapons at her disposal to disarm him? Does she heck.

Instead she makes herself a sitting duck by opting for the doggy door getaway and gets her head crushed for her troubles, the ever-living idiot.
