Laurie Strode has always been more three-dimensional than your typical slasher movie characters, many of whom are simply lambs to the slaughter, but even the toughest horror heroines have off days, and this was the worst of them for her.

Early into Halloween: Resurrection, Michael Myers tracked down his sister and top hitlist target in a mental institution, but this time she's ready for him. Laurie lured her masked stalker to the roof and snared him in a trap, leaving him dangling over the edge of the building with a length of rope attached to his ankle.

Finally, she had him, but she had to be sure it's actually Michael this time, after accidentally killing a paramedic in a Myers mask in the previous movie Halloween H20, thanks to a convenient, sequel-spawning case of mistaken identity.

It's fair enough that Laurie wanted to double check she had the right guy this time, but how she went about that is uncharacteristically hairbrained. She slowly reached for his mask to remove it, somehow forgetting that her brother's arms were not restrained, and the consequences of that oversight were exactly what you'd expect them to be.
