10 Dumbest Moments In The Halloween Series
2. Busta Rhymes Defeats Michael (Halloween: Resurrection)
In the original Halloween series, before Rob Zombie flicked the reboot switch, there was no poetic justice regarding how Michael was ultimately defeated. If Laurie Strode had taken him down, that would have rang true, but instead Haddonfield's Bogeyman was beaten by second-rate-rapper-turned-third-rate-actor Busta Rhymes.
This is hands down the most embarrassing moment in Halloween: Resurrection and possibly the entire series. Seven films had let us to believe that Michael was an unstoppable killing machine, whether Thorn cursed or otherwise, but it turned out Busta Rhymes wielding an electrical cable was his version of Kryptonite.
If you'd have asked Halloween fans how Michael should meet his match before Resurrection was a thing, not many would have responded with "an ass-kicking from Busta Rhymes", and it's the rapper's hamfisted dialogue that delivered the final insult.
He burst onto the scene spouting lines that would have been considered too corny for the Scary Movie series: "Trick or treat, motherf****r" is only a marginally bigger facepalm moment than "Hey Mikey, happy f***ing Halloween".
