10 Dumbest Movie Reboots Ever

4. Clash Of The Titans (2010)

The Mummy
Legendary Pictures

In all honesty, the original Clash of the Titans is a campy, fun film. So it makes perfect sense that its reboot would be a dour, self-serious film with no enjoyable content whatsoever.

It also commits a cardinal sin, in giving us the awesome casting of Liam Neeson as Zeus and Ralph Fiennes as Hades, and never letting them fight. That's really all we needed from this movie and everything would have been forgiven. Instead, you're here on this list.

On a base level, Clash of the Titans is all about Greek mythology and so it should be an easy home run to get a great script for this. Even if they are making the choice to take things deadly serious, at least get the story right. It isn't hard, it's all right there for them to copy and paste into the script.

The end result is a film that is way too serious for its own good and a total mess. Besides, the original is just too much fun.
