9. Anakin Builds C3PO
The Moment: Qui-Gon Jinn, Padme and the abomination of a character that is Jar Jar Binks are looking for ship parts on the planet Tatooine. They decide to take cover from a sandstorm in the home of Anakin Skywalker, who is then revealed to be building C3PO, the robot from the original trilogy.
Why it's Dumb: This is perhaps the most blatant example of the film-makers cramming in every possible reference to the original trilogy as possible. The chances that the exact same robot that is being built by Anakin in this scene will later go on to play a significant role in the lives of his children are inconceivable. Just when we thought the introduction of Jar Jar was enough to fill the village idiot shaped hole left by the robot, he's back again. Besides the incredible coincidence, it is far-fetched indeed to believe that a nine year-old could construct a robot that knows millions of languages and speaks with the accent of a traditional British butler.
