You have to feel sorry for Ben Affleck at this point, as he's tried his hardest to find a footing in the superhero genre, only to fumble both times as Daredevil and Batman. The guy just can't seem to get a break.

Starring in the 2003 movie as the titular hero, Ben Affleck does his best with what he has, but the problem is that Daredevil simply presents nothing that the audience hasn't seen before. Releasing in the wake of X-Men (2000) and Sam Raimi's Spider-Man (2002), Daredevil is a superhero origin story that is so paint-by-numbers formulaic and predictable that Matt Murdock could fill it in with ease.

The effect of this is that it makes Daredevil out to be another run-of-the-mill superhero, and that is simply not the case, as anyone who has read any of the Man Without Fear's comic books will be fully aware of.

Thankfully, the character has been saved with Charlie Cox's iteration of the character in Netflix's Daredevil (2015) series. A sequel to this movie was planned, however, but it never saw the light of day thanks to the box office failure of...
