10 Embarrassing Comic Book Movies That Ruined Beloved Characters

You know a film will turn out to be dreadful when the lead actress is only it because she legally has to be. And to the surprise of nobody, Elektra is exactly that. Dreadful.

Riding off of the coattails of the previously mentioned Daredevil movie, Elektra sees Jennifer Garner reprise her role as Elektra Natchios, and despite Garner being an incredibly talented actress, the fact that she never wanted to be here really shows throughout the film. Elektra has always been a fan favourite character, but the way this movie treats her character simply doesn't do her justice.

With a plot that is somehow more lacklustre and dull than Daredevil, finding positive things in this 104 minutes of "meh" is a task so difficult that not many have attempted it in the years since its release. The fact that this film only *just* made its budget back at the box office was the final nail in the coffin for this sub-franchise.

Word to the wise: if the main actor of your movie doesn't want to be there, either recast or call it quits.
