6. Twilight - Bonding In The Woods
What happens? Expressionless teenager Edward reveals to his expressionless teenager girlfriend Bella that he's a lifeless, blood-sucking psycho. Before Bella has time to determine whether this means he's a vampire or a lawyer, he takes her on a bonding session which involves climbing trees and showing off his sparkly skin, how romantic.
Why is it hilarious? There are many reasons, the main ones being that it's like watching wood act. Not wooden acting, I mean it's like watching a literal piece of wood try to create a compelling character and story through interpretation of a script. There is ZERO chemistry between these actors and the dialogue is plain terrible. Then there's the infamous "you better hold on tight, spider monkey" line, what does that even mean? Why do I even care what it means? This entire sequence is so awkward that laughing is the only way to get through it without wanting to throw your television out of the window.
