3. Ryan Phillippe - Iron Fist

Just give the people what they want, Marvel. Believe it or not, but it's Ryan Phillippe - yes, the former star of Cruel Intentions - that comic books fans are looking to get cast as Iron Fist in the fourth Marvel Netflix series. Iron Fist will ultimately join forces with Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage (all of whom have been cast) for The Defenders TV series due in a few years' time, of course, and Phillippe has apparently spoken to Marvel about potentially taking up the mantel as Iron Fist. If you're unfamiliar with Iron Fist as a character, don't fret: he's the lesser-known of all four Defenders, all things considered, but is an interesting superhero nonetheless. Otherwise known as Danny Rand, Iron Fist is a master martial artist with a powerful ability that allows him to focus his "chi" to an unparalleled degree. Ryan Phillippe hasn't been a figure of note for a long time now, but this could be his chance to make a seriously epic comeback. Phillippe has since denied that his talks with Marvel led to anything concrete, but they'd be seriously demented to overlook this guy; Phillippe looks a heck of a lot like Iron Fist - and, rather aptly, the actor has a martial arts background and a blackbelt in Tae Kwon Do.
