Whether you're an original series aficionado, hold a soft spot for the Next Generation crew, prefer the action-orientated antics of J.J. Abrams' rebooted Kelvin timeline or are just a sci-fi fan in general, there's definitely enough contained within the thirteen-movie Star Trek franchise to scratch at least one particular itch.

As is the case with any long-running series, there are noticeable dips in quality throughout the Enterprise's adventures on the big screen, with Jean-Luc Picard's gang arguably the stars of several of the weakest installments, but that's more than balanced out in the long run by the likes of The Wrath of Khan, First Contact and 2009's Star Trek.

If thirteen helpings of outer space shenanigans is too much to handle in one go, then binge-watching over three days separated by their eras allows for plenty of time to deliberate and decide which Enterprise crew were dealt the best hand on the big screen, although most people will have already made their minds up before they even hit play on 1979's Star Trek: The Motion Picture.

I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
