Though seen in some form in recent cartoons, and teased in an upcoming animated film, audiences have yet to see the full extent of one of the most enjoyable events in Marvel's recent history.

The animated film is looking promising, to be sure, with characters like Miles Morales, Spider-Gwen, and perhaps even an alternate-universe, older Peter Parker, but with the mysteries still surrounding the circumstances of their meeting, there's still a lot fans want to see from the comics translated into screen.

The Spider-verse event from the comics sees long-time villain Morlun and his family of Inheritors from Earth-001 killing Spider-people across multiple universes, and these multiple Spider-people coming together to fight back.

A smart, fun, and high-stakes event that sees every possible Spider character from every universe meeting- from Miles Morales to Spider-Man 2099, Spider-Gwen, Spider-Woman, and even the anthropomorphic pig Spider-Ham and the giant mecha Leopardon, used by the Takuya Yamashiro Spider-Man from the loose live action adaptation - Spider-verse does something rarely seen in any other story, bringing together even the most absurd versions of one of the world's most beloved heroes in a battle for the ages that doubles as a cameo-filled treat for every Spider-fan.
