10 Essential Marvel Heroes Not Yet Used In The MCU

2. Blade

Marvel Wonder Man
Marvel Comics

Blade is a character just about everyone knows thanks to Wesley Snipes' performance in the original Blade trilogy from the '90s. Those movies were made prior to the establishment of Marvel Studios and do not fall within the MCU, which means the vampire slayer is ready for a comeback.

If there's one thing the Netflix series have taught viewers, it's that Marvel can have numerous off-shoots and worlds within worlds under the major events of the cinematic MCU. Daredevil and Iron Fist fight the Hand and Luke Cage has his own stuff going on in Harlem. It's about time Marvel brought vampires back into the fold.

The best aspect of Blade is that he operates in the shadows, which would allow for an introduction of a darker, deadlier underworld within the MCU. Blade would work as another solo film franchise, but he would be best suited for the small screen.

There have been rumors for years about returning Blade to Marvel's movies with Kevin Feige going so far as saying "We think it would be cool. Someday." There's nothing definitive about that statement, but it's safe to hold out hope Marvel will return Blade to cinematic glory in one form or another.
