6. Sabine Wren Becomes An Imperial Cadet

In the wake of The Empire being born as the Clone Wars reached their end, this new evil force in the galaxy set up a camp on the planet Mandalore. And it was here where an eventually rather important soul by the name of Sabine Wren opted to join the Imperial Academy.

As her spell in the Academy would unfold, though, Wren soon realised she was sitting on the wrong side of the fight. But not before she created a weapon that would eventually kick off a series of events that would lead to the downfall of her entire culture.

After inventing an Arc Pulse Reactor, this weapon designed to target and incinerate the beskar alloy found in Mandalorian armour was eventually destroyed by Wren after she became guilty about the part she was playing in Mandalore's oppression.

However, that still didn't stop The Empire from using her research to create another version of the weapon. And both Clan Wren and Bo-Katan Kryze's group would eventually have to unite in order to bring down this destructive Imperial force.

Yet, all that did was highlight to The Empire how Mandalore could never be fully controlled.

So, what did they do next? Unleash the Night of a Thousand Tears on the Mandalorians in a bid to erase all memory of the clans.

And with the Mandalorian people already divided thanks to many being appalled at the fact Bo-Katan initially came to own the Darksaber due to being gifted the blade by Wren, they never really stood a chance to resist the incoming retaliation from the Empire.

Perhaps Mandalore was always destined to fall. But it's hard to look past Wren's early Imperial influence being one of the key catalysts behind The Empire's devastating assault on her homeworld.
