10 Exact Moments Horror Movie Villains Knew They’d Lost

3. Please Stop At The Red Signal - Carrie

Carrie Chris Billy
United Artists

Is Carrie White really a villain? Bullied, isolated, repressed, and humiliated her entire life, only to then discover she has special powers, she's not exactly in the same category as the other characters on this list.

Despite how we have sympathy for Carrie throughout Brian De Palma's 1976 classic, one can't argue that she does take things a little too much to the extreme at the end of that picture. After having pig's blood dropped on her, this telekinetic teen snaps and kills pretty much the entire student body.

However, it's a couple of the bullies who take centre-stage for this list, with asshat lovebirds Chris and Billy initially thinking they'd manage to escape Carrie's clutches. Fleeing the site of the infamous school prom, these two believe they've got away scot-free after humiliating Carrie and inadvertently causing the deaths of their peers, but fate has other ideas.

Upon seeing the blood-soaked Carrie White in the middle of the road, Chris speeds up and attempts to mow her classmate down. Of course, a sharp zoom cut to Carrie's piercing eyes makes you realise both Chris and Billy are done for.  With that, the pair's car flips over and Carrie sets it on fire, adding another two dead bodies to this roaring rampage of revenge.
